"Cool boats, but the setup was a little all over the place"
I liked getting to check out the boats, and there were definitely some cool ones to see. The event itself just felt kind of messy though. Some of the signs weren’t super clear, and a couple of the lines had me wondering if I was even in the right spot. It wasn’t a bad time overall, just felt like it could’ve been organized more like... I don’t know, a little smoother.

"I went to the seminars mainly..."
I went to the seminars mainly hoping to pick up a few things that would actually help me, and for the most part, they were worth my time. The sessions were easy for me to follow, and I did come away with a couple of tips I can see myself using. A few parts felt a little rushed, which was frustrating because I would’ve liked more time on the stuff that mattered to me, but overall I’m glad I went.
"I checked the schedule online and..."
I checked the schedule online and planned my whole day around it, only to find out it was wrong. it felt like my day just got thrown into chaos for no reason. Such a frustrating waste of time

"Good selection overall, but a few boats were missing"
I was able to find most of the boats I was looking for, so the selection is solid overall. There were a couple I expected to see but couldn’t find, though. Curious if other people had the same experience or if I just missed them.

"i mean, getting there wasn’t bad at..."
i mean, getting there wasn’t bad at all, but the parking situation was a headache. Every lot seemed full, the prices were way too high, and the signs didn’t really help much. I spent so much time just circling around that it kind of ruined the whole experience. Not really worth it
"Pretty clean, though not perfect"
I stopped by sometime last week, or maybe the week before, and overall it was fine. The bathrooms were usable, but they were a little messier than I expected. Not terrible or anything, just could’ve been cleaned up a bit better.

"Boat options were kind of disappointing"
I was browsing the site the other night after dinner, mostly just killing time and seeing what kind of boats were available, and the selection felt weak. I expected way more variety, but there just weren’t many options to look through. Maybe I caught it at a bad time, but it was still a little disappointing.

"Easy enough to get in"
Getting in was smooth. I had the tickets pulled up on my phone, and the staff scanned them quickly, so there wasn’t any big “hassle” or long wait when we arrived.
The check-in area was a little crowded, and the signs could’ve been clearer, but the people working there were helpful. It took us a few minutes to figure out where to go, but overall it was a “good experience.”
"Pretty chaotic crowd situation"
It was packed and disorganized. The lines all kind of blended together, people were pushing through everywhere, and the staff didn’t really seem sure where to direct anyone. It made the whole show feel way more stressful than fun.
"I went with my wife and our two..."
I went with my wife and our two kids, and we had a good time overall. There were plenty of boats to walk around and check out, so the kids stayed interested and didn’t get bored, if that makes sense. Some areas got a bit crowded and the food was definitely on the pricey side, but it was still a fun family day out.

"Not really worth the hassle"
I tried using the site and it was kind of annoying. It loaded really slow and a lot of the info felt old so I didn’t feel like it was worth the time.
"Food options were a letdown"
The boat show itself was fine, but the food and drinks were disappointing. The lines were long, prices were way too high, and unless you wanted basic snack food, there just wasn’t much to choose from. I also ended up with cold coffee, which didn’t help. I feel like I kept having to explain the same issues to people there, but with that many attendees, they really should’ve had a better food setup planned.

"Fun, easy day at the boat show"
I went to the NY Boat Show with a couple of friends, and it ended up being a really nice way to spend the day. The whole place had a fun, relaxed vibe without feeling overwhelming.
There were plenty of people walking around, checking out boats, taking pictures, and chatting, but it never felt too crowded or stressful. It was also useful to see everything up close instead of just looking online.
The setup was easy to walk through, the lighting made everything look great, and there was a good energy in the room. I’d definitely go again, even just for a casual day out.

"Probably won’t go back"
i mean, it just didn’t feel worth coming back for. Nothing really stood out enough to make me want to return.

"Accessibility felt like a bit of an afterthought"
I was dissapointed. The accessibility info was hard to find, and once I got there, getting around felt like it hadn’t really been thought through. For disabled visitors, it just wasn’t a good experince

"Decent show, but the price was annoying"
I had a good time overall and the show was fun, but the price bugged me a bit. It didn’t feel like a bad experience, just a little overpriced for what it was.

"Not as much variety as advertised"
I was expecting a lot more based on the wording they used. It made it sound like there would be tons of different boat brands and exhibitors, but once I got there it felt like the same few booths over and over. Kind of disappointing this year

"Decent show info, but dealer details were lacking"
I used New York Boat Show to get a head start on planning and see which dealers were going to be at the show. The site itself wasn’t awful to navigate, but the dealer listings were thin. A lot of them barely had more than a name, so I ended up having to dig around on my own to figure out what brands they carried or how to contact them.
For a boat show website, I really expected all that dealer info to be in one place. It did help a little, but not enough to make planning feel easy. it had that same annoying vibe as automated systems that give you half an answer and then leave you to do the rest yourself. Frustrating, so I’d give it 2 stars.

"The site does give you the..."
The site does give you the general vibe of the boat show and the brand, so I was like, okay, I get what they’re going for. But at the same time, it didn’t really pull me in or make things feel super clear. A few pages look a bit dated, and I kept thinking the info is technically there, but it could definitely be laid out in a more interesting and easier-to-follow way.

"Felt a little too salesy for just browsing"
I went on New York Boat Show just to check out ticket info and see what boats were going to be there. The basic info was easy enough to find, so that part was fine, but once I showed a little interest it felt like the sales side kicked in quickly.
I know it’s a boat show, so obviously there are going to be salespeople and companies trying to connect with buyers. It’s not even about that, really. I just didn’t love feeling like I was being pushed to buy or talk to someone before I was ready.
If you’re already seriously looking to buy a boat, it might be useful. For me, I was more in casual browsing mode, and the whole thing felt a little less relaxed than I was hoping for.
